Quarterly Spotlight

With great sadness, we share the passing of a member of the SWVHS family, our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Greg Elkins.
Dr. Elkins, a well-known, compassionate, influential, and dedicated provider at SWVHS, played a vital role in the health and wellness of our communities. He served in the executive leadership role as our Chief Medical Officer, he provided care to his patients within our community with over thirty years of medical experience, he mentored medical students along their educational journeys, and stayed focused on the health and safety of student athletes by serving as the Chair of the National Federation of High School Associated Sports Advisory Committee, and much more.
Throughout his time at SWVHS, Dr.Elkins embodied the core values of SWVHS; Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence, (ICARE), leaving an impactful legacy within the organization and the community.
Our condolences go out to his family, friends, and community during this difficult time.
Dr. Greg Elkins, you will be forever in our hearts.
