Delbarton Medical Pharmacy Grand Opening Celebrated

Hamlin, W.Va. – April 13, 2026 – Southern West Virginia Health System proudly celebrated the grand opening of its 10th in-house pharmacy, Delbarton Medical Pharmacy, with a community event held on April 9, 2026.
Located inside the Delbarton Medical Center, the new pharmacy expands access to affordable medications and strengthens the organization’s commitment to coordinated, patient-centered care. By integrating pharmacy services directly within the health center, patients can receive their primary care and pharmacy care all in one place.
The addition of Delbarton Medical Pharmacy marks a continued investment by Southern West Virginia Health System in improving access to care across the region. The integrated pharmacy model improves medication adherence, reduces barriers to care, and supports better outcomes for the communities served.
Chris Harper, PharmD, Chief Development Officer, said, “The opening of this new pharmacy represents our continued commitment to expanding access, improving medication safety, and ensuring our community has convenient, affordable care close to home.”
Cody Coffman, PharmD, Pharmacy Operations Director, added, “By integrating pharmacy services into our primary care clinics, we’re removing barriers and simplifying the healthcare experience so patients can receive care and medications in one visit, right here in their community.”
Brian Miller, PharmD, 340B Program Director, noted, “The 340B Program will play a vital role in helping ensure medications remain affordable and accessible for the patients and families we serve in this area. Savings generated through the program are reinvested into expanded services and programs that strengthen care and support the overall health of our community.”
The grand opening event welcomed community members, local partners, and organizational leadership for tours of the health center, opportunities to meet the care team, and a closer look at the services available at Southern West Virginia Health System – Delbarton.
