MD stands for Doctor of Medicine. It means the provider has completed medical school and received a professional doctoral degree in medicine, allowing them to diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, and provide medical care.
Family medicine is a medical specialty focused on comprehensive health care for people of all ages, from newborns to seniors. Family medicine providers are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, offer preventive care, and build ongoing relationships with patients throughout their lives.
Convenient Care is a service that is ideal for non-emergency situations where you need to be seen quickly, things like sore throats, sinus infections, minor sprains, rashes, or other sudden but not life-threatening concerns.
Yes! That's one of the strengths of family medicine. Dr. Vigo and other family medicine providers are trained to care for patients across the lifespan, making it easy for your entire family to receive care in one place.
You can call our SWVHS – Chapmanville location at 304-855-2211 and one of our patient service representatives will be able to assist you in scheduling an appointment.
Welcome to Southern West Virginia Health System! We look forward to caring for you. As a new patient seeing Dr. Vigo, we want to make sure your visit goes smoothly.
As a new patient, please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment so we can complete your registration. Also, have a list of any medications you’re currently taking, both prescription and over the counter, to share with our clinical team at the start of your visit.
